How long does grief last?
When you lose a loved one you need time to mourn the loss. Many people think they should “get over it” and move on, but mourning takes time and is the start of the healing process. It is important to allow yourself this time.
How can hospice help?
For more than 30 years, Hospice of the Bluegrass has been meeting the needs of those coping with loss. Individual counseling, support groups and grief education are offered by each of our offices.
Someone in my family died in the hospital, but we didn't use hospice. Can I still use your bereavement services?
Hospice of the Bluegrass offers bereavement services to anyone in the community even if your loved one was not a hospice patient.
My family member died in a car accident, not from an illness. Does Hospice of the Bluegrass offer help when the grief is from sudden loss?
A Hospice of the Bluegrass counselor is available to help regardless of the circumstances surrounding the death.
My mom died, but she used hospice in another state. Can I come to Hospice of the Bluegrass for bereavement services?
Hospice services are open to anyone in the community.
